PROBOLINGGO–BANYUWANGI TOLL ROAD PACKAGE II COMPLETED, KSO HKI-ACSET-NK DELIVERS NEW CONNECTIVITY IN EAST JAVA

East Java – The joint operation of PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI), PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (Acset), and PT Nindya Karya (NK) (KSO HKI-ACSET-NK) has successfully completed the construction of the Probolinggo–Banyuwangi Toll Road Package II in July. The 11.2-kilometer section connects Kraksaan and Paiton, reducing travel time to just 10–15 minutes compared to the previous 30 minutes via the national road.

Aditya Novendra Jaya, Director of Operations III at HKI, emphasized the project’s role in strengthening regional mobility. “This toll road will significantly improve connectivity in East Java. As part of the project, we have also completed a toll gate in Paiton for entry and exit access, along with an operational building to support daily management,” he said.

Aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, the consortium incorporated eco-friendly design into the operational building. “We applied wide glass openings to maximize natural light and reduce electricity consumption, ensuring sustainability is embedded in our infrastructure,” Aditya added.

Beyond enhancing infrastructure, the project has delivered tangible benefits to local communities. Approximately 75% of the workforce employed during construction came from the surrounding area. Once operational, the toll road is expected to unlock new opportunities in tourism and support the growth of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The completion of this project reaffirms KSO HKI-ACSET-NK’s commitment to delivering toll road infrastructure that not only facilitates mobility but also generates positive social, economic, and environmental impact. The initiative supports President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita priority no. 3: creating quality jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, advancing creative industries, and expanding infrastructure development.
